(tour
lasts approx.
105 mins)
Meeting
Point: Oasis
Cafe / Tower
Gateway Docklands
Light Railway
Station

£6.00
Adults, £4.30
10-18 year olds,
£4.30
Students/OAP's,
Children under
10 no charge.
About
the Tour:
"As
you walk down
cobble stone
roads and dark
alleyways 19th
century London
materialises.
While being
guided by one
of Britain's
top experts
upon the subject,
you will try
to unmask Jack
the Ripper.
Was he a prince,
a cobbler or
the guides Great-Grandfather?
The press credited
the Ripper with
14 murders,
Scotland Yard's
web site lists
11 official
victims. We
will visit the
sites of 7 victims
in an hour and
three quarters.
You will visit
the place of
the last victim
Francis Cole's
Feb 1891, then
Stride 1888(same
spot), Tabram
1888 and Mackenzi
1889. London
Horror Tours
is the only
Jack the Ripper
walk to visit
these murder
victims. Your
guide spent
his early years
and his teens
in the Whitechapel
area. Being
born in the
east end, he
developed a
keen sense of
the area knowing
the passages,
alleys, courts
and roads, becoming
able to quickly
move across
the district.
In his formative
years your guide
grew up in a
sea side Hotel
learning customer
care. The Jack
the Ripper walk
is now at £6.00
Adults, £4.30
10-18 year olds,
£4.30
Students/OAP's,
Children under
10 no charge.
According
to Scotland
Yards web site,
there are 11
official victims,
newspapers from
1888 to 1891
credited Jack
the Ripper with
up to 17 victims
that were killed
and more who
survived. The
view Jack had
5 or 4 were
the view of
2 officers at
the time. We
will visit the
sites of 7 victims
within 1 3/4
hours. We start
with Francis
Cole's No 1,
Elizabeth Stride
No 2, Polly
Nichols No 3,
Emer Elizabeth
Smith/Fay No
4, Tabram No
5, Kelley and
Mackenzi No
6. We are the
only tour to
visit the very
heart of Whitechapel.
We will take
you to the London
Hospital where
the Elephant
Man lived. And
close by where
Nichols was
slain. Your
guide will liven
up the trip
by doing some
spooky but harmless
fun.
It
is of kind permission
that the proprieter
of the Oasis
cottee shop,
Towergateway,
extends a free
gift of tea,
coffee, can
of soft drink
(usually 60p)
or bottle of
water (70p)
to my cutomers.
I of course
have to payfor
this. If you
come early and
pay me first,
or by seeking
me out at Tower
Hill station
at 6.15 where
I will collect
passing trade.
Do not wait
at Tower Hill
as you will
miss the walk.
It
has come to
my attention
that some rogue
companies are
misleading customers,
taking them
to Bethnal Green
and other areas
unconnected
with the Ripper
murders. We
are one of the
few that visit
the location
of Elizabeth
Strides murder
and Marther
Tabrams murder.
During the walks
we show Victorian
maps, Police
documents and
newspaper copies
from the period
to prove we
have taken you
to the correct
places.
Every
week from Wednesday
to Saturday
you can catch
this tour as
it starts outside
the Oasis Cafe
beside Tower
Gateway station
(on the Docklands
Light Railway)
regularly at
6:30pm. Why
not take a bite
to eat and a
hot drink in
the Oasis Cafe,
I recommend
it, while you
wait for your
guide to arrive.
